US Election 2016 : Donald Trump Speech and Aftermath

So finally,  the moment come which we were expecting and waiting for a long while. Donald Trump won the US presidential election early in this morning with a  stunning victory that sent a sudden strong wave around the world. Donald Trump took the key swing states of North Carolina, Florida and Ohio early this morning. He marched towards the white house too. In his speech, Donald pledges to be president for “All Americans” in his New York victory speech, after sweeping Hillary in this US Presidential election.

He also talked about to reached out to the people who had not supported him to “unify the country”. He also added that Hillary Clinton had called him to concede the race. Donald praised Hillary Clinton and said “Hilary has worked very long and hard over a for a long period of time, and we owe her a major thanks of gratitude for her service to America,” he said. “I mean that very sincerely.”

Trump’s upset was one he had been thinking and predicting for months, cheerfully comparing himself to the Brexit vote in England. Yet, it was one which almost no other major predictors, all giving Hillary Clinton various degrees of comfortable to leads in their election day predictions.

“It was almost like Donald Trump’s versus all the experts … now it has fully proved that Donald Trump was right,” as  Jake Tapper said on CNN at 10:40 pm on election night (before major battleground states had been called).

He defeated 15 other candidates in the Republican primary, in which most of them were governors and senators. “One of his real sources of strength is not just that he took the fight to the elect in an intellectual way, but that he was the only guy on a stage of 16 candidates who really seemed totally disconnected with cultural from the other candidates,” J.D. Vance, author of Hillbilly Elegy, told TIME before the election.

In the general election, Donald Trump didn’t run any campaign in any sort of traditional way. He was totally outspent in campaign ads by Hillary Clinton by 3 to 1. He had also a small and disorganized ground game up against Clinton election machine. News “TIME” wrote two separate cover stories about the unhappy conclusion and confusion inside the Trump’s campaign. Not to mention the candidate’s coasting, bombastic speaking style and gusto for engaging in Twitter fights with the Gold Star families and former beauty pageant contestants.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about his US Presidential win and said that India look forward to working with you and we appreciate the friendship which you have articulated towards during the election days.
